Hola!
Edu Robsy

Dear Robsy,
I have read on the MRC forums that you are planning to release your version
of Guru Logic this saturday. I understand that you are having difficult
times at the moment as the MSXDEV'03 contest didn't have the expected
results. However I feel that I have to warn you one last time about the
release of Guru Logic MSX1. As you might know, Niitani of Aiky is one of
the
many frequent visitors to the MSX Resource Center linked to the Japanese
gaming industry. As Niitani is planning to commercially release the Guru
Logic which our team is currently developing he will probably not
appreciate
the release of another game with the same name. The game concept,
characters
and its name are copyrighted and trademarked and only to be distributed
under license of Aiky. If you release your version of Guru Logic you could
get yourself in trouble.
I understand that this hurts your feelings. But you have been hurting our
feelings as well. Ever since the first TeddyWareZ release of Guru Logic we
have been trying to make this work. In MSX Magazine 2 (and during the MSX
Magazine Festival which I attended) Guru Logic for MSX was officially
announced. When we first heard about your entry to the MSXDEV'03
competition
we instantly contacted you and tried to explain our point of view. Although
I admit we could have done things more subtle back then, I was under the
impression that we had more or less settled the case back then. Your
announcement on the MRC forums proves me wrong.
Whatever you will decide to do, it will be your own responsibility. I hope
you know what you're doing.
Yours sincerely,
Sander Zuidema
Project Manager Guru Logic
