I found my set from high school. Started building a layout recently, and a lot of stuff has changed in 30 years. Automation, really. So I've got a few arduinos and power shells. At the time I am thinking of, Proto 2000 was still owned byLifeLike, were affordable and, unlike MP, were more prototypical and hadbetter drives. The last time I looked at Proto-2000 (or even 1000) prices, now that theyare owned by another company, they are not so affordable.I figure if I ever get back into it and need to keep cost down, I can passoff some of the less-prototypical stuff off as "railroad specific"modifications or rebuilds. :D * SLMR 2.1a * Forget 0 to 60. Direct from the Ministry of Silly WalksFor PC. Not sure if Steam ever hosted the mods. I recall seeing them active around the same time Couterstrike was still in beta. In the editor, therewas a module that was loaded with games /sim specific definitions, and thenyou'd use the map editor to create your layout and create the hidden overlaysthat describe what is considered the track route.I used to build maps for Counterstrike, and the track, vehicle, and door anddevce controls from Half Life were all kept in the mod. I liked the idea ofmaking parts of maps unaccessable by adding controls that would lock door orflood areas that would porevent the use of anything but a pistol.--- Synchronet The Cave BBS - Since 1992 - cavebbs.homeip.net
