His wifeãnever went down there, but told him that "you will not be bringing anyãnew rigs home!!".ãã Well, he was lucky enough to have "a candy store" that sold andãrepaired ham radio gear in his town. He thought of a scheme, and tookãan old box that one of his rigs was in, and carried up the steps,ãtelling her that "his rig quit working", so he was going to take itãin for service. His wife told him "I'll see you for dinner tonight".ãã He got home late that afternoon, with his "box", gushing that "theyãfixed it and got it working again". What he did NOT tell her was thatãthere was a NEW RIG inside that box. ãã That worked for a bit...until she figured out what was going onã(hi hi).ããDaryl, WX4QZãã...
