Hello everyone,ããI've bought a cheap 49-key midi controller (SE49), and I don't know what to do with it. I've also downloaded an open-source application called 'LMMS' that allows me to make sounds using my keyboard.ããThe big question is: How should I get started? Should I learn basic piano tunes?ããThanksãã... "This decision could change your life!" * Rimmer's Motherã

Learning some piano songs would probably be a good place to start.ããNightfoxãã---ã þ Synchronet þ Digital Distortion: digitaldistortionbbs.comã

LMMS is a good start, as is Reaper (https://www.reaper.fm)ãwhich is a free-to-try audio workstation. If you'd like to try a virtualãmodular synthesizer, look into VCV Rack (https://vcvrack.com).ããPersonally, I do all of my music production in Reason, mainly because of theã'virtual cables' paradigm that it offers. It's not cheap, but is free to useãfor 30 days (https://www.reasonstudios.com) and comes bundled with tons ofãbuilt-in synths and effects. If you'd like to hear some stuff that Reasonãemits, my YouTube channel is atãhttps://youtube.com/channel/UCNzhMppmXF6VBrGrPJk3PVgããã oã (O) ã BeLLyãã---ã þ Synchronet þ bbs.brazi.net þ www.brazi.net þ WARNING: May contain nutsã

But at the time I was doing it, FruityLoops was becoming a thing. Do you know if FruityLoops Studio Producer or whatever it's called these days supports MIDI and such? I heard it became all you really need to make music. It works with VSTs, iirc.ãã---ã þ Synchronet þ TIRED of waiting 2 hours for a taco? GO TO TACOPRONTO.bbs.ioã

ButããThere aren't really any other 'Re-suite' programs any more. Reason has been aãfull-featured DAW for years now, and I dare say that you could get greatãresults with only the included devices, without adding any VSTs. Although, I doãlove my Neutron and Ozone!ããI think Fruityloops became FL-Studio many years back, although I've never usedãit.ããã oã (O) ã BeLLyãã---ã þ Synchronet þ bbs.brazi.net þ www.brazi.net þ WARNING: May contain nutsã
