First, I am not a programmer - at all. However. I should be by now, I have soãmany ideas.ããSecond, here is the idea, have some addons that make Synchro look like /XãAmiExpress BBS for the Amiga. I am seeing more and more people have an Amigaãrelated BBS, maybe we could have some more addons related to this.ããThird, a more simple way to configure binkd. I hate to say it, but Mystic hasãan awesome way of doing it. Why can't we?ããFinally, thanks for reading - hoping to see those additions soon.ã:)ãã---ã þ Synchronet þ Red Mud Castle BBS - redmudcastlebbs.us:1123ã

In the meantime you're stuck waiting for someoneãwilling and able to make these things for you.ãã Da> Second, here is the idea, have some addons that make Synchro look like /Xã Da> AmiExpress BBS for the Amiga. I am seeing more and more people have anã Da> Amiga related BBS, maybe we could have some more addons related to this.ããI'm vaguely familiar with the Ami/X aesthetic but it's not clear what you'reãlooking for. On the surface this sounds like a customization job:ããhttp://wiki.synchro.net/custom:indexããDisplay files, a command shell, text.dat, etc. would all play a part. Slightlyãmore advanced, SyncTERM's new-ish font support might be useful in this case -ãbut leave that for later.ããYou might take a crack at it yourself; many a novice sysop has bludgeoned theirãway through these things (though many more have simply stayed with the stockãconfiguration).ãã Da> Third, a more simple way to configure binkd. Why can't we?ããEditing some ini files doesn't seem that bad to me, but I haven't bothered withãFTN in ages so I have no idea how onerous the setup currently is.ããHow does Mystic do it? Are you after some kind of menu-driven configurator forãbinkit, tickit, etc.? Maybe someone out there uses these tools and knowsãenough javascript to put something together. Tools are available for makingãscfg-like interfaces for things like this.ãã Da> Finally, thanks for reading - hoping to see those additions soon.ããNot that it matters all that much, but the 'Synchronet Discussion' sub isãprobably the best place for this topic.ãã---ãechickenãelectronic chicken bbs - bbs.electronicchicken.com - 416-273-7230ã þ Synchronet þ electronic chicken bbs - bbs.electronicchicken.comã

Why can't we?ããI've always used Taurus, Argus, and another that I cannot think of at theãmoment but all seemed very easy to configure, Argus even had a online step-byãstep config guide. I also connected at one time with a node that ran BBBS andãI don't think BBBS even supports MD5.ããI should do some exepimenting and see how it goes with binkit.ãã Ttyl :-),ã Alããã... As other people have suggested, this is a custom job. You'll probably
want a baja source set of menu commands, then your .asc menus. It's
really not too difficult. You might want to start by taking the default sychronet menu items and making your own copies and start customizing
from there. It's often easier to change what you're familiar with and
see the results. Reposition things on the screen, change some graphics
    or colors, etc.
