Just thought I would post this here as a bit of general interest in computer archaeology as well as possible future (hopefully). Alan Kay is of course the creator of Smalltalk, and the "GUI" that inspired Steve Jobs. Ted Nelson is the iconoclastic mind behind Project Xanadu, what would inspire that which we call the "world wide web"...or as Ted would say, "they stole the idea, and badly."ããThis is a fascinating video...I had no idea that Ted and Alan had crossed paths, and even less of an ide that Alan's future wife was involved with the creation of TRON.ãã
