• Waiting for BBS thread

I built sbbs on another maching using the CVS method and copied over theãconfigs and baja modules I created. Wwhen I start sbbs as root using 'sbbsãunsbbs ugsbbs', I get a repeated "Waiting for BBS thread" message. Whatãcauses that? ãã echtoãã---ã þ Synchronet þ -=-= echto bbs =-=-ã

I think you're mixing up cause and effect here.ãã digital manããSynchronet "Real Fact" #62:ã"Baja" (name of Synchronet PCMS compiler/languege) is pronounced "ba-ha".ãNorco, CA WX: 60.7øF, 69.0% humidity, 7 mph ESE wind, 0.00 inches rain/24hrsã---ã þ Synchronet þ Vertrauen þ Home of Synchronet þ [vert/cvs/bbs].synchro.netã

I see the same under linux for multiple minutesãate it slowly binds to ports and gets things ready. Seems to take about 2-3ãminutes for everything to fire up. On my system, it looks like trying to bindãto ipv6 ports (when I have ipV6 disabled) causes things to slow down with theseãmessages. Once all the ports are bound (binded?), the message goes away forãe.ãã--ã Hemoã...
