You must use the ;UPLOAD or theã;UPLOAD ALL from the transfer menu, when it starts searching, it will display aãline for a short description of the file, and when you press enter, it willãimport the file_id.diz for the extended description. Pistol Grip and myselfãlike to jam something in the enter key to upload files to the database. If youãdo this and there is no file_id.diz in the zip, or the file is not a ZIP file,ãthen you will have the description as "No description given for this file.",ãwhich can be changed in the TEXT.DAT file.ããLiquid Memoryãã---ã þ Synchronet þ WasteLand BBS þ telnet://wasteland.darktech.org ã

Refer to the list below.ããAlso, what I've done in the past is use a program that will scan all files in aãdir and extract the diz into a FILES.BBS file. Then you can just use ADDFILESãwith FILES.BBS. Similar to how you add a CD with FILES.BBS.ããPGã--ãusage: addfiles code [.alt_path] [/opts] ["*user"] +list [desc_off] [size_off]ãã or: addfiles code [.alt_path] [/opts] ["*user"] file "description"ããavailable opts:ãã a import ASCII only (no extended ASCII)ã d delete list after importã e do not import extended descriptionsã f include file date in descriptionsã t include today's date in descriptionsã i include added files in upload statisticsã n do not update information for existing filesã o update upload date only for existing filesã u do not update upload date for existing filesã z check for and import FILE_ID.DIZ and DESC.SDIã k keep original short description (not DIZ)ã s search for files in directory (no file list)ã * use * in place of code for Auto-ADD of FILES.BBSã use *filename to Auto-ADD a different filenameãã---ã þ Synchronet þ WasteLand BBS þ telnet://wasteland.darktech.org ã
