Is there anyway to have a user dropped into Multinode chat without goingthrough the chat menu? The only baja function I could find on the topic waschat_section (there are some for paging, and provate chatting).Chat_Section takes you to the chat menu, but I want to do the equivelent of Jfrom that menu (without having to go through that menu).suggestions? help?--- Synchronet hax0r's palace - unknown-realm.dynip.com - you've been hax0r'd

This there any plans, in future versions or synchronet, to make the chatsection not hard coded? Or atleast more configurable? I would love to be ableto add options to the / command prompt while in chat (instand log off, runningother mods, for example.) If not unhardcoded, atleast moer configurable? Also, are the CNTRL-K menu keys hard coded as well? Any plans to make them moreconfigurable as well?Definately like the other users ideas about trivia and other teleconfercinggames.. Just chatting these days gets a bit bpring!Thanks.. Glenn (bbs.unknwn.com)--- Synchronet Vertrauen Home of Synchronet [vert/cvs/bbs].synchro.net

Just chatting these days gets a bit bpring!telnet here, and check out the chat section, totally modded, workingon the user actions next.. :)As for ctrl-k keys, not sure if the text for ctrl-k is hardcoded, you can add mods under the scfg->externals->hotkey events.I have a lot of my defaults modded, including chat, drop in.. I willgive you some hints/help, but my mods are mine.. ;)--=======================================================================Michael J. Ryan - tracker1 at theroughnecks dot comRoughneck BBS:

I did a LOT so far withJS.. and have plans for more, any sysops are welcome to drop in in theevenings, I have most of the mods in place, and working on the extendedactions next.. will probably take a few days away from modding chatto work on the system/config menus.. right now, I had to dissablethe user settings sections, so I can run my own config, that wasn'tbroke from my newuser mod.--=======================================================================Michael J. Think it could be done? :)Not sure about baja, but did mine in JS.. works really well, also, objects added to say bbs.??? will maintain state through the usersession, after logon...I actually attach all the functions used by the "/" command mod inchat to bbs.chat.????() so they don't have the load-time associatedwith them, will also extend to custom entrance/exit messages forthe chat.. I have a lot of ideas.--=======================================================================Michael J. Ryan - tracker1 at theroughnecks dot comRoughneck BBS:

Re: Chat Section By: Frozen Fire to Venjax on Sat Aug 17 2002 07:25 pmThe SyncChat wasn't half bad, except for a big laggy. Does anyone know if theauthor of that program is still around, or know if the source code isavailable?Venjax (still not tracker) - Never satisfied....--- Synchronet Vertrauen Home of Synchronet [vert/cvs/bbs].synchro.net

RE: Chat SectionBY: Venjax to Frozen Fire on Sun Aug 18 2002 05:50 amI actually contacted Garry Dolley (the author of SyncChat) once. He flat-outrefused to give up the source code (and I actually offered some good money forit at the time). He IS around-doing some Linux thingie/website.
