I don't think that's true. Many sysops and users of SEXPOTS have had plenty of successful ZMODEM file transfers over SEXPOTS.

It could be caused by all kind of things:
- incorrect/insufficient Telnet IAC handling on one end/part of the connecction - vastly different buffer sizes between the server/host and the client
- a bad ZMODEM implementation

I'm not aware of anything to fix in SEXPOTS in this regard. More likely, the ZMODEM options (e.g. streaming vs. windowed vs. segmented) enabled on one or the other end of the connection would be the actual fix.

But to give you a more complete/accurate answer, I would need to know more details: what ZMODEM implementation is being used on the host/server and the client side? What are the device/software used in the communication chain? What is the TCP protocol used (e.g. Telnet or raw TCP)?

Can confirm. I never got it to work either.

Maybe it's an older ZMODEM that I'm using on the BBS end? But I've had multiple users say it never worked. In all of my testing with SyncTerm and Telix, it was never something that I could troubleshoot. I gave up on it.

Maybe I'll try with the new SEXYZ suite that came out recently?
