I had the same problem as your having. I put the two files it wanted into windows/system32 and broke windows beyond repair. So I reformatted and began again. This time, after getting windows back on, I went to the wiki site and installed synchronet from there. I had no problems after that. Synchronet went right on and even helped me allow it through my firewall. I also had no errors. My website is up and running this time (wasn't working on windows 7 system). I now realize the two files were off the upgrade of windows and not from the actual win 10 pro. Rooky move I know. I then installed the two prerequisite files. Then I installed the offical release, though now I realize that it may have downloaded and installed from my computer. There was a lot going on and I didn't remember that part. I rebooted and it would not come back up. I have a windows repair thumb drive. It went through its routines but when it rebooted it was still broken. I did not spend too much time on it just because it was a new install and I was loosing nothing by formatting and reinstalling.
