There have been some significant�updates and changes to MRC.��To answer the original question. MRC is for BBS-to-BBS chat, specifically.�There is a bridge to an IRC server, but that's the extent of its connection to�it. IRC is for chatting over the internet in general, with different IRC�servers connected together (or not) making different IRC networks. Sort of a�de-centralized kind of thing.
