    Hi,

Is it possible to have access to FTN netmail via Synchronet's NNTP server?

    I see, thanks.

Any plans to make netmail available for normal (nntp) users?

You can't *send* FTN netmail via NNTP, so the user would have no way to reply. News (nntp) readers aren't really expecting 1:1 (e.g. netmail) messaging in the first place.ã-- ã digital man (rob)ããThis Is Spinal Tap quote #11:ãNigel Tufnel: No. no. But if you use NNTP to participate in echomail areas, it may be convenient to have access to netmail.ããJamNNTPd's author found a way to do it:ãã> ==========================ãã6.7 Netmailã-----------ãJamNNTPd now also supports netmail. In netmail areas, users can only readãmessages to or from one of the names configured in the jamnntpd.users file.ãReplies to netmails are handled transparently and the name and address ofãthe recipient are taken from the original message. When a user wants to writeãa new netmail, the name and address of the recipient are specified on theãfirst line of the new message using this format:ãã To: name, addressããExample:ãã To: Johan Billing, 2:15/87ããA To: line can also be used to specify an alternative recipient in bothãnetmail and echomail areas.ãã> ==========================ãã( https://github.com/ftnapps/jamnntpd/ )ãããCarlosãã--- GoldED+/W32-MSVC 1.1.5-b20180707ã * Origin: cyberiada (2:341/234.1)ã þ Synchronet þ Vertrauen þ Home of Synchronet þ [vert/cvs/bbs].synchro.netã
