Has the DOCs for RSS implimentation be created yet?ããDM suggested I look back thru the message base to find out what I needãand this didn't yeild much.ããHe has it set up on his system as I donwloaded (recieved) about 9ãmessages the first request I sent. Since then, nothing has come thru. Iãset up my newsreader (Opera) to fetch every three hours.ããBut I would like to try to set this up on the Bits-N-Bytes BBS.ããDM suggested I should have ctrl/rss.ini installed and provided anãexample. I copied his for mine - knowing it would fail and hopefullyãprovide some details on how to fix it.ããIn the other places that have RSS feeds a link is provided. That linkãwhen installed into a rssreader scans the source for NEW messages.ãã[Stop me where I error]ããThe firs (in []) is the name of the RSS channel. The "sub" value is theãinternal code of the sub-board.ãã > [syncanno]ã > sub=syncannoã > title=Synchronetã > image_link=http://BNB.synchro.netããSince I don't yet have the sub syncanno, this would be the first error.ã(I fail to devern any significance in his sub title, so I will createãone using something differentãã > [syncanno] <--- Is this critical?ã > sub=syncanno <-- I can alter this one I thinkã > title=Synchronet <-- This one too...?ã > image_link=http://BNB.synchro.net <-- just have to wait and seeã what this will produce.ãããI guess anywhere I want to create the SUB will be fine(??)ãããOK... I just made a NEW message group for the occasion. RSS of courseãand the sole sub is of course RSS.ããI need to make a test message of some sort.ããOK short test message in place...ããNow what? Try to scan the feed again.ããOpps forgot the RSS.INI file..ããIt now reads:ã [syncanno] <-- Still dunno what significance this holdsã sub=RSSã title=BNB news and Viewsã image_link=http://BNB.synchro.netãããWell that's what I figured out on my own. It didn't produce any messagesãin any logs I can find. Although loging is mentioned I cannot infer it'sãlocation.ããAnd that's as far as MY javascript understanding takes me.ããYou can only call me a dumbass IF you can help fix this.ãããã....................................................ã........2x2l.calling.CQ...2x2l.Calling.CQ...........ã....................................................ã....................................................ã............Is.there.anyone.out.there...............ã....................................................ã....................................................ããã...
